Volunteers at our thrift store play an important role in supporting the mission of St. Francis Animal Sanctuary & Rescue. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, or have an approved adult present if under 18, and must complete a volunteer application and orientation before beginning. Volunteers are expected to communicate reliably, and interact with customers, staff, and fellow volunteers in a professional and respectful manner. This role may involve standing for extended periods and performing light to moderate physical tasks such as sorting, hanging, or lifting donations. No prior retail or animal experience is required, just a positive attitude, a willingness to help, and a desire to support lifesaving work in our community!

Volunteers at the sanctuary play a vital role in the daily care and well-being of the animals at St. Francis Animal Sanctuary & Rescue. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, or have an approved adult present if under 18, and must complete a volunteer application and orientation before beginning. Sanctuary volunteers are expected to follow established care and safety protocols, and communicate reliably with staff and fellow volunteers. This role may involve physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions, as well as direct interaction with animals. No prior animal care experience is required, but volunteers must be comfortable around dogs and cats and willing to learn. A positive attitude, reliability, and respect for the animals, staff, and facility are essential.
